Paragraph2 theme: the house is a jail. Connie’s family doesn’t agree with her. Connie’s sister and mother’s values are different with Connie. Her family do not teach her correctly.

Worked cited:
You are required to refer to 2 secondary materials from “a worn path” by Eudora welty , “does season” by david Michael Kaplan, and “the briefcase” by Rebecca makkai , and “rainbow” by Robert huff.
2 of these must be the critical essays, these are: Gretchen Schulz and R.J.R Rockwood’s “In Fairyland, without a Map”; and Mike Tierce and John Michael Crafton’ s “Connie’s Tambourine Man.”
Remember: you do not have to agree with the critics’ interpretations. In addition, feel free to include brief relevant references to the adaption Smooth Talk if you feel such a comparison is useful. Do not refer to Smooth Talk if it does not help your discussion. The main focus of your essay is Joyce Carol Oates’ “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?
